City Budget
The City of Lake Crystal fiscal year begins on January 1st. In early Summer, the City begins the annual budget preparation process which includes opportunities for citizen participation and culminates with the adoption of a final budget in mid-December. The Council adopted the final 2024 budget and tax levy on December 4th, 2023.

2022 General Fund Budget and Tax Levy
The City Council held a public hearing on Monday, December 6, 2021 to discuss the proposed 2022 general fund budget and tax levy.
After hearing comments and questions, the Council adopted the final 2022 budget and tax levy on December 20, 2021.
The following represents a summary of the 2022 tax levy, along with a comparison to the 2021 tax levy.
