2024 Electric Rates
The Public Utility Commission approved new rates at the March 12, 2024 meeting. New rates will take effect April 1, 2024 and billed for the first time on May 15, 2024. The increases are needed to cover increased operational and maintenance costs. Additionally, several large capital projects are planned to be completed in the near future. In order to prepare for these projects and prevent a large rate spike, incremental rate increases this year and over the next several years, will be necessary.
