Paulina Johnson Park Outdoor Warning Siren - Deactivated
The outdoor warning siren located at Paulina Johnson Park (intersection of South Hunt St. and West Shepard St.) was deactivated during a previous construction project After evaluating siren coverage in the area, along with the cost of replacement (upwards of $35,000), the city made the decision to permanently remove the siren. Even without the siren, there is more than adequate siren coverage in the area.
